Residents of Sun City can now take advantage of free ukulele lessons offered by the Sun City Ukulele Club. The club’s mentorship program, designed to promote musical learning and camaraderie, convenes at the Fairway Center music room on the first and third Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m.
For those interested in participating, ukuleles will be made available for trial purposes. Alternatively, individuals may borrow one from either the Bell or Fairway library. Additionally, the club hosts weekly jam sessions every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fairway location. It’s worth noting that membership is not a prerequisite for attending these sessions, and individuals keen on exploring the world of ukulele are encouraged to join the club, which currently boasts a membership of 161 individuals.
