Trombone Slide
The trombone slide is the main component of a trombone that allows the player to change the pitch of the notes they produce. It consists of two stationary tubes, called the inner and outer slides, that are connected by a sliding tube. By extending or retracting the sliding tube, the player can lengthen or shorten the overall length of the instrument, which changes the pitch of the sound produced. This technique is known as sliding the trombone.
