Since its inception in 2020, Shorty Gras has become a beloved New Orleans tradition. It is celebrated as a featured event during the lead-up to Mardi Gras, as part of the Krewe de Freret Parade (scheduled for February 3, 2024). Trombone Shorty himself leads the parade on his signature float, culminating in the Shorty Gras ball at Mardi Gras World, featuring an impressive lineup of musical guests. Past performers include Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Flo Rida, Big Freedia, Tank and the Bangas, Rebirth Brass Band, and more. This year, Shorty is taking this distinct New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration on the road for the very first time.
