Wells, UK – As the date for the special Trombone Day approaches, there’s still an opportunity for enthusiasts to register for the event co-hosted by the British Trombone Society and Wells Cathedral School on Sunday, January 21st.
The day-long program promises an array of musical experiences, including ensemble playing, masterclasses, and more, all under the guidance of distinguished trombonists. Leading the event are Royal College of Music Trombone professors Byron Fulcher and James Buckle, accompanied by the talented RCM Trombone Ensemble.
Byron Fulcher, principal trombonist of the Philharmonia Orchestra, and James Buckle, bass trombonist at the renowned ensemble, bring their expertise to the event. Notably, the RCM Trombone Ensemble clinched victory in the 2022 BTS Intercollegiate Trombone Choir Competition.

Admission is free for all British Trombone Society members, demonstrating their commitment to fostering a vibrant trombone community. Non-members can participate for a nominal fee of £10.
The festivities kick off at 10:00 am, offering a full day of immersive musical exploration until 5:00 pm. The event concludes with an evening performance featuring participants and the RCM Trombone Ensemble.
