Hear the Woodlands Wind Quintet August 12

The Bowery Stage at the Winnsboro Center For the Arts welcomes the Woodland Winds at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 12. The concert includes standard quintet music, new compositions, and familiar opera anthems.

The Winds is a woodwind quintet based in The Woodlands, Texas. The group includes musicians Susan Daniell on flute, Leanne Becknell on oboe, Mike Mattner on clarinet, Mark Collado on French horn, and Paige Liccioni on bassoon. Together, they collaborate to create a unique and vibrant soundscape, expanding their repertoire beyond standard quintet pieces to include popular and seasonal music.


Founded in 2017, the quintet has made a significant impact through their performances at various local chamber music series by showcasing their versatility and artistry. They have also collaborated with The Woodlands Symphony and have performed at prestigious venues such as Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros.


Beyond their work as the Winds, each member is actively involved in professional symphony orchestras and concert bands. Their collective experience and expertise contribute to the group’s exceptional musicianship and polished performances.


Tickets are $18 to $25 online or at the door. Winnsboro Center For the Arts is located at 200 Market Street in Winnsboro, Texas.
