Taylor Swift Ranked 8th Best Guitarist of the Last Two Decades

by Madonna

Taylor Swift has been named the eighth best guitarist of the past twenty years in a recent poll conducted by UK guitar retailer guitarguitar. The poll was part of the retailer’s 20th-anniversary celebration, which includes a ‘Playable’ exhibition showcasing special guitars to honor the most inspiring players.

Although Swift is not primarily known for her technical guitar skills, her consistent use of the guitar during her record-breaking global Eras tour has put the instrument in the spotlight for millions of fans worldwide, earning her this recognition.

Topping the poll is John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Frusciante, often seen with a Stratocaster, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022. Producer Michael Beinhorn, who worked with the Chili Peppers on albums like “Mother’s Milk,” praised Frusciante’s deep understanding of composition and music theory, noting that he used to transcribe Steve Vai guitar solos.
