Rob Thomas is hitting the road this summer, kicking off his first solo tour since 2019. The “All Night Days Tour” launches on August 1 in Atlanta and spans 25 cities across the United States. In a heartwarming twist, Thomas’s son, Mason, will join him on stage as the lead guitarist for the entire tour.
Speaking to USA Today, Thomas explained his timing: “Next year will be the 30th anniversary of Matchbox Twenty so I thought, if I don’t get out there now and play solo, I’ll miss that window.”
The tour supports Thomas’s newest album, All Night Days, and also celebrates 20 years since his solo debut, …Something to Be. After the Atlanta opener, Thomas will perform in venues across the country, including both outdoor amphitheaters and indoor theaters.
Pop duo A Great Big World will serve as the main support act for most of the tour dates, while The Lucky will open shows in select cities. Tickets are now available through Rob Thomas’s official website and Ticketmaster.
Concertgoers can look forward to a setlist that includes solo hits like “Lonely No More” and “Her Diamonds,” alongside Matchbox Twenty fan favorites such as “3 AM” and “Unwell.” He’ll also perform “Hard To Be Happy,” the lead single from All Night Days.
Thomas has enjoyed immense success both as the frontman of Matchbox Twenty and as a solo artist. Matchbox Twenty has sold over 40 million albums globally, with Thomas’s solo work adding another 18 million. His iconic collaboration with Carlos Santana on “Smooth” earned him three Grammy Awards.
This solo tour follows Thomas’s run with Matchbox Twenty on the “Slow Dream Tour” throughout 2023 and 2024, marking a fresh chapter in his celebrated career.
