Joe Louis Walker, the influential blues guitarist and singer known for his raw vocals and genre-blending style, died on April 30 at the age of 75. He passed away at a hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York.
According to his wife, Robin Poritzky-Walker, the cause of death was a cardiac-related illness.
Walker was celebrated for his gritty, down-to-earth blues recordings, but he also stood out for his willingness to push musical boundaries. Over his career, he infused his sound with elements of gospel, soul, jazz, and rock, creating a unique and respected voice in modern blues music.
