Wave Alchemy has launched “Tape Toys,” a unique new collection designed to inspire music producers with its blend of retro textures and playful sound design. The company describes the release as a colorful fusion of vintage cassette tape tones and the nostalgic character of toy instruments, offering a wide range of musical elements for creative production.
According to a Wave Alchemy spokesperson, the collection includes 864 crunchy samples and 1,900 drum loops, stems, and kit one-shots. It also features 80 ready-to-use presets for Triaz, providing a complete toolkit for crafting lo-fi beats and inventive rhythms. The emphasis is on delivering expressive, character-rich sounds with punchy drums, shimmering hi-hats, and tape-warped effects that give tracks a distinctive edge.
Tape Toys is aimed at producers seeking quirky, lo-fi soundscapes, with components that include retro melodic loops, dynamic percussion, and layered textures. These elements combine to evoke a sense of creative nostalgia while offering professional-grade sound quality for modern production needs.
The collection is compatible both as a traditional sample pack and as an expansion for Triaz or the free Triaz Player, giving users flexibility in how they incorporate it into their workflows. Currently, Tape Toys is available for a discounted price of £24, down from the regular price of £34, for a limited time.
