Iconic guitarist Eric Clapton is set to perform at TD Garden in Boston on September 16, as part of a limited U.S. tour. The announcement was made earlier this week by Live Nation. With ticket prices ranging from $220 to $2,924, fans are eager to secure their spots for this exclusive six-city tour, which begins in Nashville on September 8.
Clapton’s career spans over 50 years, with his solo career taking off in 1970 after his influential roles in legendary bands such as the Yardbirds, Blind Faith, and Cream. Tickets for the Boston concert go on sale to the public on March 7, but fans can already purchase them through third-party sellers like StubHub, VividSeats, and SeatGeek for early access.
This announcement comes on the heels of Clapton’s latest album, Meanwhile, released in October 2024. The album features collaborations with artists like Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, and Judith Hill, offering a blend of six new tracks alongside eight previously released singles.
Clapton will be joined on stage by guitarist Doyle Bramhall II and bassist/vocalist Nathan East. The tour will showcase Clapton’s enduring talent and the fresh sounds of his latest work, with the band adjusting to various venues along the way, including Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.
Before the U.S. leg, Clapton’s tour will make stops in the UK, including three nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall in May. The excitement for the U.S. dates is palpable, as rock and blues fans eagerly anticipate seeing Clapton’s legendary performance live once again.
