Arturia has introduced a limited-edition version of its Drumbrute Impact rhythm box, offering an ’80s-inspired design. The new Drumbrute Impact 1984 is a 10-voice analogue drum machine that retains all the features of the original, including individual controls for each sound, an FM drum, an inbuilt distortion circuit, and a fully functional sequencer. Like its predecessor, which was released in 2018, the 1984 model provides a main output as well as individual outputs for the kick, snare, hats, and FM drum. It also includes a 64-step sequencer with features like swing, polyrhythmic patterns, and randomization, along with a pattern looper and roller function for dynamic fills and transitions.
The standout difference in this special edition is its case design, which has been revamped to mirror the aesthetic of Roland’s iconic X0X series — particularly the TR-909, launched in 1983, and the TR-707, which debuted in 1985. The Drumbrute Impact 1984 is available now, priced at €299 (£249).
