Slipknot drummer Eloy Casagrande has released drum-cam footage of the band’s performance of Liberate at London’s O2 Arena on December 21, 2024. Fans can check out the video below for an up-close look at Casagrande’s dynamic drumming during the high-energy show.
In the January 2025 issue of Modern Drummer magazine, Casagrande opened up about his replacement in Sepultura, Greyson Nekrutman, who joined the band at the same age Casagrande did back in 2011. The Brazilian drummer shared his thoughts, saying, “When I see him play, I can remember myself in the same position. He’s an excellent drummer, and I used to follow him on social media for his jazz and solo performances.”
Casagrande also reflected on his journey to joining Slipknot, revealing, “It all started in late 2023 when I received a call from Slipknot’s manager about an audition. With Sepultura deciding to go in a different direction, it felt natural to explore other opportunities. The audition was kept secret, and even Sepultura didn’t know about it at the time.”
