Pianos for People, a St. Louis-based non-profit, was spotlighted on The Kelly Clarkson Show Monday for its mission of providing free pianos and music lessons to local families.
The organization was featured in the show’s “Rad Humans” segment, where Executive Director Andy Ament and program alum Royce Martin joined Kelly Clarkson and award-winning rapper Big Sean to discuss their impactful work.
Located at 3138 Cherokee St. in the Benton Park West neighborhood, Pianos for People is dedicated to making music accessible by removing financial barriers for low-income households.
During the segment, Ament highlighted the organization’s efforts to distribute free pianos and offer complimentary lessons. Meanwhile, Martin shared how the program shaped his journey as a musician, allowing him to pursue music full-time. He also celebrated a milestone achievement—completing his first feature film score for HBO.
