Varun Sood, best known for his role in the web series Call Me Bae, is not just an actor but a passionate music lover. He often shares moments of his jam sessions with his followers on Instagram. Recently, the actor posted a series of pictures of himself playing the guitar, sharing his deep affection for music. On National Guitar Day, which falls on February 11 in India, Varun took the opportunity to speak about his strong bond with the instrument and how playing the guitar brings him peace amid the hustle and bustle of daily life.
He explained, “For me, playing the guitar is about more than just making music; it’s about finding calm in the midst of chaos. When I pick it up and start strumming, everything else fades away. It’s like therapy, a space where I can express my emotions without saying a word,” as quoted by Social News XYZ.
Varun further elaborated, “Some days, it’s about releasing stress; other days, it’s about celebrating a feeling or a memory. Regardless of what’s happening around me, my guitar helps me stay grounded.”
National Guitar Day is celebrated every year on February 11 to honor the guitar, one of the most iconic and versatile instruments in the world.
“Music is universal; it doesn’t matter if you’re a professional musician or someone who enjoys playing for yourself. It’s all about experiencing something real. For me, my guitar has always been a source of comfort,” he added.
On the professional front, Varun has received significant praise for his performance in the comedy-drama Call Me Bae, starring Ananya Panday in the lead role. Directed by Collin D’Cunah and produced by Karan Johar, the series features a talented cast, including Gurfateh Parizada, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, and Niharika Dutt.
The show premiered on Amazon Prime Video and will return for its second season.
In Call Me Bae, Varun portrays Prince Bhasin, a gym trainer for Bae (Ananya Panday), who has an affair with Prince while cheating on her husband, Agastya Chowdhary (Vihaan Samat). Throughout the series, Varun’s character maintains a good relationship with Bae while also dating her colleague, captivating fans with his charm and acting skills.
In addition to this, Varun has appeared in shows such as Karmma Calling, Ragini MMS Returns, Naam Namak Nishaan, and Potluck Season 2.
