Nigel Kennedy will take the stage at Malvern Theatres on Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17.
Kennedy, who first made waves in the British music scene with his recording of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons over 36 years ago, returns to this iconic work. His performance promises a captivating exploration of the seasons, from the vibrant joys of Spring to the oppressive heat of Summer, the sorrowful tones of Autumn, and the intense power of Winter.
The renowned violinist will be joined by the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, known for its performances at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and the Musikverein in Vienna. This concert will mark the orchestra’s debut at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
In addition to the classical masterpieces, Kennedy will also feature his own compositions, including Five Dedications from his collection My World. These personal pieces, blending pop, jazz, and folk elements, pay tribute to the musicians who have profoundly influenced him.
