In a sudden change of plans, R&B artist Keyshia Cole has announced the postponement of her highly anticipated South Africa tour, citing the recent catastrophic fires in Los Angeles as the reason. The fires, which have wreaked havoc across the city and displaced many residents, have had a personal impact on Cole, prompting her to prioritize her family and community during this challenging time.
The multi-platinum-selling singer was scheduled to perform her soulful hits in South Africa this month. Fans who were eagerly awaiting live renditions of hits like Love, Heaven Sent, and I Remember will now need to wait a bit longer. Cole shared her regret about the tour delay, stating:
“It breaks my heart to have to reschedule my tour dates in South Africa. The fires in Los Angeles have deeply affected my family and loved ones, and right now, my main focus is ensuring their safety and well-being. I’m so thankful for the love and support from my South African fans, and I promise I’ll make it up to you soon.”
The wildfires in Los Angeles have caused extensive damage, with homes, businesses, and natural areas destroyed. Thousands have been forced to evacuate, and emergency crews are still working tirelessly to control the flames.
While new dates for Keyshia Cole’s South Africa tour have yet to be confirmed, her team has assured fans that plans are underway to reschedule the concerts for 2025. Ticket holders are encouraged to keep their tickets, which will remain valid for the new dates, or opt for refunds if they prefer.
The tour was originally planned to include performances in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban.
